I enjoy working across a variety of media, from traditional oil painting and pastel to digital art.
Here are some pastel works I have created over the past few months.
Nocturne
The Elephant Hawk-moth is one of the few moth species with particularly vivid coloration.
It flies from dusk onwards and is attracted to light. This striking candy-pink moth is able to distinguish colors in the dark. Its eyes contain larger lenses, shortening the distance light must travel to reach the receptors. As a result, it can detect ultraviolet, yellow, and blue wavelengths.
For me, this remarkable creature served as the inspiration for this magical little scene.
